Follow holds a record of promises you made to yourself. That record is the most private thing in the app, so this page says plainly where every piece of it goes.
Follow asks for no email, no name, and no signup. Opening the app creates an anonymous account that exists only to keep your entries yours.
You can sign in later with Apple or with an email link. The only reason to do that is so your record survives a lost phone or a reinstall. Signing in adds your Apple ID or email address to your account and nothing else.
It lives in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase. Database rules restrict every row to the account that created it, so no other user can read your entries.
Your voice. Dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. No audio is recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere. Only the finished text reaches Follow, and only after you submit it.
Your settings. Reminder time, theme, and every preference stay in local storage on the device.
Your notifications. Reminders are scheduled by iOS on the phone itself. Follow runs no push server, so nothing about your commitments is transmitted in order to remind you.
Anthropic receives your entries in two situations: when you ask a question about your own record, and once a week when Follow writes your reflection. Anthropic processes the request to produce the answer and, under their API terms, does not use it to train models.
Voyage AI receives entry text and converts it into numbers so your record can be searched by meaning.
RevenueCat handles subscriptions, and only if you buy one. It receives purchase information. It never receives your entries.
Apple is involved only if you sign in with Apple, and receives nothing about what you write.
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with anyone else, and nothing is used for advertising.
Follow contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, and no crash reporting. Nobody is measuring how you use it, because nothing in the app is built to measure you.
Open Settings and choose forget everything. Follow asks you to type the word, then deletes every entry, question, and reflection you own from the database, along with your account. The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Deleting the app from your phone removes local settings but leaves the record on the server, so use forget everything first if you want it gone.
Your entries stay until you delete them, because a record you can question later is the point of the app. There is no automatic expiry.
Follow is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
